We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Colchester

Payrate: £11.50 to £13 per hour (inclusive holiday pay)

Must be able to work Min 3 shifts a week

Flexible with Day, Night Shifts - Weekdays and Weekends

Requirements for job

Preferably Enhanced DBS on update service

3 years of professional care experience in the UK

3 years of traceable references

Preferably a driver with own car

Worked in the UK for Minimum 6 Months

Job Overview

In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

· Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

· Support individuals with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.

· Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, promoting healthy eating habits.

· Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of patient progress and needs.

· Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status.

· Foster a warm and supportive environment that encourages patient independence and dignity.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.

· Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.

· Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and care plans. .

· A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
